Cohen’s Handbook of Federal Indian Law

The new revised 2012 edition of the classic resource Cohen’s Handbook of Federal Indian Law is now available at the Maricopa County Superior Court Law Library!  Cohen’s includes sections on Indian Tribal Governments, the relationship between tribal governments and the Federal  government as well as State jurisdictions, civil and criminal jurisdiction, the Indian Child Welfare Act as well as Indian gaming. Other important topics include water rights, hunting, fishing, and gathering rights and economic issues.  The first edition of this work was published in 1942 and it has remained an essential resource for those interested in Native American rights and issues.
