Looking for information on legal topics? LegalTrac gathers articles from a wide range of legal publications, as well as business and general titles. As of July 5, 2012, Law Library users have access to 1,651,119 articles from law reviews, legal newspapers, bar association publications and international journals.
This week’s popular search links, listed just below the search box, include civil rights, constitutional law, criminal justice, employment discrimination, and Supreme Court. Just clicking on the civil rights link produced a list of more than 1,600 full text articles, sorted by newest first and accompanied by links to focus the results. Each results screen has links, suggestions and search tips.
You can bookmark searches, create search alerts, share with colleagues. Articles can be printed, downloaded, and emailed. Because LegalTrac is an international database, there is also a link to translate the pages from any of a dozen languages.
To search LegalTrac, go to the Law Library’s Online Research Databases page. In the Legal Databases and Information group, click LegalTrac. If you are outside of the Law Library or Court complex, you’ll be prompted to log in with your library card number.
